The Reichmans have been the lead family in the creation and control of the MPD, beginning with the patriarch, Augustus Reichman who is now deceased. His wife, Frederika, currently acts as the head-of-state. The Reichmans have four children: Katrina, Rudolph, Abby, and Delia, the youngest child who ran away from home as a teenager. Family history and traits

It has been argued, and never more vehemently than by Frederika, that the MPD owes its existence to the will and drive of Augustus Reichman. While it took the combined resources of the Four Families to bring and keep the organization to its place of power, the Reichmans have always felt that they have been the hub while the other families are merely spokes.

Augustus ruled both the MPD and his family with strictness and little forgiveness for tresspasses, and Frederika did little to buffer the children from her husband's toughness. The Reichman house felt more like a museum than a home with small children, and the Reichman children all bear various levels of grudges against their parents and each other for making their lives miserable. The Reichmans share a number of traits including strength of will, stubborness, and a proclivity for argumentation.
