Reyes Family

The Reyes Family is one of the Four Families of the MPD..

Members

Compared to the other families, the Reyes family is quite small. Parents Carlo and Isabella Reyes had only two children, Armando and Luciano, and the years of unrest reduced their number by half. Luciano perished in a gun battle at a strand of beach that now bears his name, and Isabella suffered from a series of undiagnosed illnesses and passed away shortly after the move to Whitefish. Armando continues to serve as a lieutenant commander in the MPD, though his service is a bone of contention among many in the organization. He is the self-appointed manager of the Whitefish Inventory and runs security details around the compound rather than holding a post at any of the officially designed MPD headquarters.

Family history and traits

Despite his early failed marriages, Carlo and his wife Isabella fiercely believed that family was sacred and should always come first and instilled this in their sons. Prior to the superflu, the Reyes parents were notorious for harranguing the teachers in their sons' private schools, always taking the side of their boys even when they were clearly in the wrong. The death of Luciano nearly tore the family apart in their grief and it is said that Isabella never fully recovered. After her passing, Carlo and Armando were inseperable for nearly two years. While that bond has relaxed somewhat, they still live under the same roof and dine together for at least one meal most days of the week. Carlo is a doting, almost foolish grandfather to Armando's two children, a fact that comes as a complete shock to anyone who does not know the man well.
