<TR 19:15> wuzzup
<GM 19:15> Remember where we left off?
<TR 19:16> yes. heading back south to ol fed.
<TR 19:16> let's get to it!
<GM 19:16> OK. Heading back south, mile 1 of 3...
<GM 19:17> You exit Rivertown North and cross over into Rivertown Central w/o incident.
<GM 19:17> Mile 2 of 3
<GM 19:17> More smooth sailing. It's like the whole town emptied out.
<GM 19:18> Remember too that this is later on in the day AFTER your interview of Ellen Johnson
<TR 19:18> Oh yeah. Forgot that.
<GM 19:19> And as you head into downtown...
<GM 19:19> You pass a few dead bodies. Looks like they were killed and scavenged. No one else around tho
<TR 19:19> Well that was uneventful trip
<GM 19:20> Better for you, right?
<TR 19:20> LOL yes.
<TR 19:20> was thinking that running into 3 mean scavengers vs me would not be good at all!
<GM 19:21> It's nightfall when you get there. They've been expecting you and tell you to go straight up to the watchtower.
<GM 19:21> Did you read about Ol' Federal?
<TR 19:22> No.
<TR 19:22> Was I supposed to?
<GM 19:23> No, probably better you didn't. You can read a description here tho <ol federal>
<GM 19:23> Gives you a sense of the interior.
<TR 19:26> Cool
<TR 19:27> That's the federal building downtown?
<TR 19:27> In real life I mean?
<TR 19:27> NEver been in there
<GM 19:28> Me neither. But yes. Same place same location.
<GM 19:29> They let you go right up to the top of the watchtower where you find Singh. He seems nervous.
<TR 19:29> Guilty nervous?
<GM 19:30> Hard to say. Just nervous nervous for now.
<GM 19:31> What do you say?
<TR 19:31> Do I have any cigarettes or booze?
<GM 19:31> I don't know. Do you normaly have them with you?
<TR 19:32> Yes. A hipflask and at least two packs of cigs.
<GM 19:32> Then you have them.
<TR 19:33> I give him a cigarette and tell him to relax
<TR 19:33> No I give him the whole pack
<GM 19:34> Okay, he seems to relax a little.
<TR 19:35> SO I UNDERSTAND YOU'VE BEEN TO CONCORD?
<GM 19:35> He goes straight back to looking like he's about to shit himself.
<TR 19:35> LOL
<TR 19:36> RELAX, I'M NOT HERE TO BUST YOU. I JUST WANT SOME INFORMATION.
<TR 19:36> YOU'VE BEEN TO CONCORD?
<GM 19:37> He nods. He's sucking on that cigarette hard.
<TR 19:37> TELL ME ABOUT IT
<GM 19:38> WHAT DO YOU WANT TO KNOW?
<TR 19:38> DID YOU SEE ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS?
<GM 19:38> LIKE WHAT?
<TR 19:39> LIKE WITH THEIR GUNS. LOTS OF GUNS?
<GM 19:40> OH YES THEY HAVE LOTS OF GUNS. BIG GUNS. SMALL GUNS. AUTOMATIC GUNS, MANUAL GUNS. AMMO FOR GUNS. THEY HAVE PISTOLS AND REVOLVERS AND RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS AND...
<GM 19:41> GUNS IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND SIZES. THEY HAVE GUNS WITH LONG BARRELS AND SHORT BARRELS. GUNS THAT ARE IN GREAT SHAPE LIKE NEW, AND GUNS THAT DON'T LOOK GOOD BUT STILL WORK. SOME OF THE GUNS ARE NICE OTHER GUNS ARE NOT NICE.
<TR 19:43> Okay...
<TR 19:43> Did it seem like they were stockpiling guns for anything?
<TR 19:43> (shoot, I meant to cap that as a question)
<GM 19:45> WHAT DO YOU MEAN BY STOCKPILING? IF YOU MEAN DO THEY HAVE LOTS AND LOTS GUNS, YES THEY HAVE LOTS AND LOTS AND LOTS OF GUNS. AND GIRLS TOO. I ONLY GO FOR THE GIRLS.
<TR 19:46> TELL ME ABOUT THE GIRLS
<GM 19:48> THERE ARE LOTS AND LOTS OF GIRLS. GIRLS IN DIFFERENT COLORS AND SIZES. THEY HAVE TALL GIRLS AND SHORT GIRLS. GIRLS THAT ARE IN GREAT SHAPE LIKE NEW AND AND GIRLS THAT DON'T LOOK GOOD BUT STILL WORK. SOME OF THE GIRLS ARE NICE AND OTHER GIRLS ARE NOT NICE.
<TR 19:49> lol
<TR 19:49> so this guy is not being very helpful
<GM 19:50> No not really
<GM 19:50> ;)
<TR 19:52> Am I going to get anywhere asking him questions? I don't know what else to ask.
<GM 19:52> I will save you some time...
<GM 19:52> No, this guy's not the sharpest tool in the shed
<GM 19:53> If it's worth anything, he doesn't seem to be trying to hide anything
<GM 19:53> He just doesn't know what might be useful.
<TR 19:54> (le sigh) What next? No more leads.
<GM 19:54> When in doubt report back to the boss.
<TR 19:55> Summerland?
<GM 19:55> Yep. Want me to roll for a random encounter or do you want to?
<GM 19:55> </kidding>
<GM 19:56> So is that what you want to do? Head back?
<TR 19:56> Please.
<GM 19:57> Ok, smooth sailing. No encounter
<TR 19:58> Rivertown doesn't seem so bad...
<GM 20:02> OOG comment - the tables are set up so that random encounters are rare but potentially catastrophic. If those three scavengers had seen you near Tombstone, you could have been toast. But lucky for you they weren't paying attention. The game mechanics reward staying in one place because travel is inherently dangerous. The MPD tend to move in whole squads. 6 MPD against 3 armed scavengers isn't too bad a problem. Just as an FYI. Heading back and forth across town alone is a good way to get killed.
<TR 20:04> Thanks for the heads up! Didn't realize that. We don't get to see those tables of course.
<TR 20:05> So what's next?
<GM 20:07> Barrett isn't receiving visitors after 9:00 but his admin assistant tells you to come back at 11:45 am. So you go home.
<TR 20:07> LOL. Okay, we've got some time left. What's BL say to me the next day?
<GM 20:09> He thinks about what you've told him but he's already like 13 steps ahead of you. He shares a bit of info: Delia Reichman was found by Johnson's group in some sub-lab <Delia Reichman>
<TR 20:11> hmm
<GM 20:13> More than hmm for BL. HE thinks that maybe she's been involved in rabble rousing over in Concord and that's what Ellen was out doing: abducting her to prevent a scavenger revolt. He's not sure. He wants someone to go check it out...
<TR 20:13> Me?
<TR 20:14> How many random encounters is the trip out there?
<GM 20:14> I've got you worried now!
<GM 20:15> Three. About the same distance west as you went north to Tombstone.
<GM 20:15> We'll pick up there next time.
<TR 20:15> Except I'm going into the lion's den at the end.
<TR 20:16> Jesus, this seems really stupid.
<GM 20:17> Good jobs are hard to come by in Rivertown. You've got to find ways to enjoy your work.
<TR 20:17> ROFLMAO
<TR 20:18> TTFN
<GM 20:18> See ya!
