Location

The apartment building is located one mile west of the lakeshore in the center of Rivertown North.

History

The four-story apartment building used to house middle-class citizens of Rivertown, often university students or recent graduates. Like most of the buildings in the area, it was badly burned in the fires that swept through the neighborhood.

It is one of the few buildings that remained standing on its block and thus has drawn many scavengers to it, where it has become a flophouse for transients, particularly those interested in procuring for rundown.

Condition

The Northside Apartments are in very poor condition, with the back half of the building completely burned away. Most of the third and fourth floors have collapsed and have fallen in on the second floor in multiple places. The building seems to sway underfoot and residents often fear the building will one day fall on top of them.

Inhabitants

A group of ten to twelve people call the Northside Apartments their permanent home, a rarity in Rivertown. They provide shelter to travelers in exchange for rundown and other goods. They have a few handguns and an automatic rifle to protect themselves, though they are very wary of the MPD who have, thus far, overlooked them.

Contents

The dozen or so permanent residents of the apartment building share an uneasy alliance, sharing none of the goods they themselves scavenge. They agreed to keep the goods supplied by travelers in a locked basement cellar. Even then, they bicker ceaselessly over the distribution of drugs in particular and frequently come to blows.
