Kwik N' Go had many locations in Greater Rivertown, up to 26 at one point, before an economic downturn caused 7 closures in the space of three years in the early 2070s. Due to security measures installed to handle stick ups, Kwik N' Go stores fared better than most other food suppliers. They had 9 stores in Rivertown still open when the bottom fell out in 2089.
Kwik N' Go grew to prominence in the 2050s as a merger between two formerly competing businesses. They grew slowly and steadily through the 60s but their expansion hit the rocks in the face of a global recession in the late 2070s that worsened for the next decade.
Kwik N' Go did most of their business selling concession-style foods: packaged chips, candy, soft drinks, fast food, etc. Some locations sold guns; other offered gasoline and recharging stations for automobiles.
Kwik N' Go locations are generally gutted. The loose metal shelves and bulletproof glass surrounding the cashier areas proved very useful for scavengers constructing elaborate shelters, or were acquired by the MPD. Original food and supplies will have long since been removed.
Some locations still provide shelter from the elements and will be used by scavengers as a home base for a night or two.
Like most temporary locations, there is always a chance of finding some items left from previous temporary tenants.
