Concord is a small but thriving community in the Western Reaches.

The Concord neighborhood is located in the southcentral portion of the Western Reaches a little over two miles west of the Juneau River. Barnum's Bazaar is located in the southwestern corner of the neighborhood.
The Concord area featured a number of grandeoise 19th-century homes, some of which were converted into bed & breakfasts in the 20th century. The area suffered during the years of social unrest and a large number of the homes were emptied, boarded up, and left abandoned.
Though a good number of the structures were burned to the ground others survived. As the survivors of the superflu pandemic slowly returned to the shattered remains of Rivertown, a core group has established themselves in a two-block area, housing themselves in a few dilapidated mansions and an apartment building with a few livable floors. They were all drawn to the area by hearing of Barnum's Bazaar and decided to stay rather than trying their luck into Rivertown.
Most of the Concord neighborhood is unlivable, but the homes and apartment building claimed by the settlers are in good shape. The building in the best condition without doubt is Barnum's Bazaar.
Though the population fluctuates, Concord boasts a steady population of 75 people. Though disagreements and factions exist even in this small community, they have agreed to keep the peace and work for the betterment of the small society as a whole. Though Barnum has a great deal of influence within the community, he repeatedly rejects any suggestions of running elections or taking on an official leadership role, though many within Concord have urged him to do just that.
Concord has a modest number of resources at its disposal given its population. It is rumored that a small percentage of Barnum's stock is actually property of the Concord community, though no contractual agreement seems to corroborate this claim and Barnum will neither confirm nor deny such an arrangement.
Though yet a humble community, many fear that the MPD will get wind of the settlement's possessions and conduct a raid. In such an event, virtually every inhabitant has taken a blood oath to repel any invaders with his or her life.
