Braudel Storage
Braudel Storage is a burned out warehouse located in Rivertown Central.

The warehouse is located two blocks east of the Juneau River in the industrial district that lies in the shadows of the old eight-lane expressway running through Rivertown Central before bending south. It is roughly ten blocks west of Lake Lawrence.
The building has had dozens of owners in its long history. It was initially built to house goods being shipped to Rivertown via the lake. It went through many incarnations over the years, most relating to public and private storage but also a failed open-air bistro in 2066. After that disasterous business venture the building was purchased by businessman Edwin Braudel, was gutted, and restored to its role as a storage facility.
A series of fires swept through the industrial district during the months of riots. Braudel was mostly empty except for a shipment of light fixtures, which were destroyed. He had them disposed of, but contracted the superflu and died soon after. Because the building did not have much fuel for the fires, the building survived with only moderate structural damage.
Braudel Storage is in fairly decent shape when compared with the buildings around it. Portions of the roof have fallen in but the brick walls are stable. The second-story catwalks are no longer accessible from the ground and would be inviting danger.
Scavengers routinely use Braudel Storage as a shelter. More recently, a gang has been using the location as a temporary hideout. The MPD are aware of Braudel Storage but sweep through the area on an irregular basis. The industrial area has a high concentration of rubble and hence cover, making it ideal for an ambush and retreat type of guerilla warfare favored by scavengers feeling threatened.
Due to its popularity among scavengers, Braudel Storage frequently contains items of some value. However, it will just as often contain those items owners who will be likely to defend their possessions with violent force. It could also contain a number of gang members or even the MPD on one of their rare sweeps.
