Physical description

The rifle is ultralight, weighing in at only three pounds. Other than the weight, the ZM2085 is similar in size and shape to other rifles. It also allows for a slighter larger magazine, allowing for 45 shots.

Traits and usage

The ZM2085 looks and feels like an ordinary rifle but it fires very differently, thanks to its advance target tracking (ATT) feature. This sensor connects the images in the scope to a small quantity of ballast located in the chamber; the scope locks on to a target, notes its direction, and automatically shifts the ballast to assist the shooter in properly leading the target while firing.

While ATT helps improve marksmanship for novices, experienced shooters find the feature annoying and often elect to turn it off, though it requires breaking into the stock and cutting the appropriate wiring.

Rarity and value

The ZM2085 is an extremely rare item, highly unlikely to be found through scavenging. The MPD only have nine in the arsenal at the Rock, and do not choose to put them into circulation even for special ops.
