Ahoy there,

In my mission to write at least 6K word of Frederika stories, I whipped this out last night in a couple hours. It's the period between when Fred discovers Delia has been returned home and their first meeting (and couldn't get Paul Simon's "Mother and Child Reunion" out of my head.) Let me know what you think. I was trying to capture the conflicted emotions Frederika would be feeling, and whether she would even be that happy (she isn't) given everything else she has on her plate. The only moment I really like is that she uses the jack in order to force some sort of emotional reaction she thinks would be ideal. This "ideal" reaction is what most people would consider "natural" but she needs a chemical injection to feel it.
