FROM: Trent Hergenrader This is last vignette I'm writing for the site. I could keep going on forever but, with regret, I realize that we need to tie up loose ends. I wanted to conclude Frederika's story with it being about as open-ended as it began, almost like we could pick up another campaign tomorrow (although I do need a few weeks off.) What's been answered for her? In truth, very little. The jack plans went bust (although there's now the open issue of where Erik's stash went) and they're no closer to solving their food issues, no closer to having the power back on, and Fred is paralyzed by facing yet another decision. Ironically, when she finally decides to think for herself and take action--by calling Carlo Reyes and extending an olive branch of sorts--it is, predictably, the worst strategy ever since he's been the one gunning for her all along. What is Frederika going to do when Barrett tells her that Reyes set the trap at the swap and, ostenisbly, the missions out at the sub-labs? Is there a possiblity of a civil war in the MPD? They've allegedly got a tidy amount of supplies up at Whitefish... As she thinks in this vignette, too many unanswered questions. The only way we can hope to answer them is to pick up the game once more and see what happens next. What's your summer looking like? --t
